Cape Town Pride is a non-profit, section 21 company that coordinates an annual festival of queer events in the Mother City. The 2010 Pride Festival will run over the period 26 February till 7 March. With Cape Town being seen as the gay epicenter of Africa, the 2010 event is already attracting international media attention.

Board announces significant changes

The Board of Cape Town Pride announces several significant changes that will ensure that the 2010 Cape Town Pride Festival will be a sensational and exciting event. With the international queer media focused on South Africa, and on Cape Town in particular due to the World Cup, the Mother City will host a rich, varied and dynamic festival that will showcase the diversity and richness of our queer community.

Cape Town Pride is a Section 21 Non-Profit Organisation that is comitted towards being inclusive and encompassing. The annual Cape Town Pride Festival is a celebration of our wonderful diversity, and also creates awareness around issues impacting on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities locally and throughout Africa.

All proceeds raised by Cape Town Pride are donated to the Pride Shelter Trust.
