HISTORY OF CAPE TOWN PRIDE
PRIDE is an International Brand that has featured on the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-gendered & Intersexed (LGBTI) Community event calendars World-wide for the past 30 years.
Cape Town Pride is a volunteer run Non-Profit Section 21 Company that annually organises an 10-day Cape Town Pride Festival and as of 2007 also various monthly events catering for the LGBTI community.

3. OUR BENEFICIARY – THE PRIDE SHELTER TRUST
In addition to growing community support, each year’s aim is to significantly grow the financial success of Cape Town Pride for the benefit of our beneficiary, the Cape Town Pride Shelter Trust.
Cape Town Pride saw the need to find a beneficiary to which surplus funds could be directed and The Pride Shelter Trust was established in 2005, independent of the Pride organization. The Pride Shelter Trust is a non-profit, Section 21 company, established in Cape Town with the aim of establishing and managing a shelter offering short-term safe accommodation to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community of greater Cape Town during times of crisis.
4. THE FESTIVAL & EVENTS
Cape Town Pride festival has indeed become one of the Premier events on the Cape Town LGBTI social and community calendar. It serves as an opportunity to celebrate our country’s great Constitution with characteristic flair and flamboyance and to make a unique contribution to promoting diversity and tolerance in the Mother City. The 10-day Festival comprises of a host of community-orientated events that are free of charge as well as some exclusive events that attract the high-yield members of the LGBTI community. The Festival provides sponsors with the opportunity to highlight their contribution towards Uniting the Cultures of Cape Town and the LGBTI community.

Cape Town Pride will be offering the following options to individuals and businesses that would like to be part of what is going to be the most exciting event - not just on the gay calendar but on Cape Town’s calendar!

In order to ensure continuity for the Festival Organisers and the Sponsor, a three year, inflation linked sponsorship is envisaged. The following benefits are offered to a Diamond Sponsor:
